mikey modzFunction introduction
Some might argue, but the best thing about this game is that it never ends. You can exhaust all your most profound dreams and find the best way to play it. Another great advantage is that the game is often upgraded, and new content is constantly added in. All the new items are marked with a “new” context on the game, so you will quite literally never miss out on an opportunity.Quite recently, the developers included some pretty awesome content that the Sakura School Simulator fans immensely enjoyed. These add-ons have the ability to choose over hundreds of kimono patterns (kimono – a traditional Japanese outfit typically worn by women), different car colors, more variations in hairstyles, baby costumes (yes, there are babies, and you can also interact with them), a live music house, cooking styles, music tools and much more.
Remember Frogger? Crossy Road is just like that classic arcade game, except its creators call it a "froguelike".

There aren't many roguelike features in Crossy Road, admittedly. But you can see where studio Hipster Whale is coming from.

You tap to make your frog hop forward endlessly across busy roads and logs flowing down rivers. Each of these environments are randomly generated as you proceed, so that's one roguelike element to check off.

The other is permadeath which, well, is found in most arcade games, to be fair. Nevertheless, it'll have you cursing as you get splatted by a truck and just miss out on a new high score.

Your score is increased by hopping forward, but you can also pick up coins by swiping sideways to get to them.

My favourite feature of Crossy Road are the different character options. There are frogs, goats, zombies, unicorns, capybaras, dogs, and wizards.

The pigeon is probably the best one. It, er, drops little white pixels behind it on the ground, and makes a lot of rude sounds. Yes, it's a fart joke.

Crossy Road a fun little game; a worthy rehash of Frogger, I'd say. It should be coming to iOS by the end of September.

Hipster Whale hopes to bring it to as many other platforms as possible, too.

It'll be free to play but Hipster Whale says it will be "fair and ethical", stating that there will be "a max cap players can pay in real money."

You can keep an eye on Crossy Road's progress on its website.

THE WOODCUTTER cut down a Mountain Oak and split it in pieces, making wedges of its own branches for dividing the trunk. The Oak said with a sigh, "I do not care about the blows of the axe aimed at my roots, but I do grieve at being torn in pieces by these wedges made from my own branches."

City simulation games can always be a fun time sink. There’s something about the real world verisimilitude of it that feels fun. Indie games developer CUPGUM has released one such game; Transport City: Truck Tycoon, which is out now on iOS and Android devices.

It’s a management tycoon game where you transport trucks around a city to fulfil their jobs, based on a real world supply chain and logistics system. With over twenty trucks to collect each with their own functions, there’s plenty of content to digest here.

Obviously with it being a management game, you will be able to upgrade your trucks as you continue playing, allowing for them to reach their full transport potential and carry out jobs much more efficiently. You can do this by earning money from the jobs you’re already set to do, and it’ll accumulate as you finish more of them. The better you upgrade your trucks, the more jobs you’ll be able to complete, and thus earn more money. It’s vital you select the right truck for each mission, as they each have their own purpose.

But that’s not all, as you will unlock new cities and buildings as you progress through the game, eventually allowing you to expand your business to new places.

CUPGUM assures you that Transport City: Truck Tycoon is a casual simulation game, and therefore isn’t too stressful to play. In fact, the controls utilise a very simple tap system, and it’s more about managing your time efficiently rather than pulling off any complex moves.

If you want to check it out for yourself, you can download Transport City: Truck Tycoon from the iOS App Store or Google Play for Android. It’s a free to play title containing adverts and in-app purchases.
If you want to read about more simulation games, we've listed the best ones on for iOS right here.
